Elitecore launches Convergent Billing Solution in Europe at Billing Systems 2006

(Ahmedabad, India. 9 June 2006)
Elitecore Technologies announced the launch of Crestel, its Convergent Billing Solution, in the European region through its participation in Billing Systems 2006.

Earlier known as JISP Billing, Crestel is the carrier-grade billing, customer care, mediation and provisioning platform that enables next generation data, voice and video services over wireless and wireline networks.

“In the current highly evolutionary phase, operator success depends on a customer oriented approach rather than a technology-oriented one,” says Nikhil Jain, President and COO, Elitecore Technologies. “Crestel’s strength lies in its ability to build scale with margins, enhancing operator profitability and long-term stability.”

Crestel delivers scale with margins by facilitating convergence at the customer, OSS and BSS level, while enabling fine segmentation at the customer, service and geographic levels.

The Western European Billing and OSS market is set to grow to nearly EUR1.4 billion by 2010, according to Analysys. Crestel aims to penetrate this market through a modular approach in addition to full systemic revamps. Crestel’s modular architecture delivers billing, customer care, mediation and provisioning, offering great flexibility and scalability to service providers.

“Crestel is in a strong position to handle emerging services and technologies like VoIP, IPTV and WiMAX, in addition to traditional data and telecom services,” says Niladri Datta, VP-worldwide Sales and Sales Operations, Elitecore Technologies. “With these strengths, Crestel satisfies operator requirement for a next generation system that ensures rapid service launches, unified view and controls and quick rollout of new technologies.”

Crestel successfully handles the billing and customer care functions of tier-1 telecom providers like BSNL and MTNL in India. Elitecore holds over 90 per cent market share in the Internet post-paid dial-ups and more than 35 per cent share of the Internet prepaid dial-ups in India. In addition, its client list includes GSM and CDMA clients. Crestel has a strong presence in the Middle-East and African regions too.

Elitecore’s alliances with global equipment vendors and system integrators enhance its business and product strengths.

Elitecore is currently looking for business partners to drive rapid penetration in the European region. For queries and product detail, Elitecore Technologies is present at Stand B1 at Billing Systems 2006.
