The announcement was made by Bob Farinelli, ELAN’s President and Chief Technology Officer.
Developed from the ground up in direct response to the needs of today’s homeowners with very specific input from custom electronics professionals, Elios incorporates never before used technologies and one-of-a-kind mechanical designs into its entire line of speakers. In addition, each Elios speaker is voiced in multiple real life-listening environments and installations, and over 100 select Dealers pre-auditioned Elios Speakers in March during a limited “Audition Phase” for the product line.
Buttons Clark, a 27 year industry pro in Chesapeake, Virginia, installed and tested Elios speakers as part of the ELAN audition in a home theater setting. “I have worked with a dozen speaker manufacturers at Buttons Audio and Video and I can say that nothing comes close to the performance and value of the Elios line,” said Mr. Clark. “These speakers are easy installs with a sound quality that was very satisfying. In our tests, the bass was powerful and tight, the mid and high-mids had a very pleasing warmth, the highs literally sparkled and over a week of testing, the speakers warmed even further for a truly lush sound. An industry first and foremost among the array of Elios innovations is its new hybrid tweeter design, which gives Dealers and listeners a best of both worlds scenario. The design bonds a titanium / aluminum nano coating to a teteron dome substrate delivering the high frequencies, precision, speed and transient response of metal tweeters with the desirable smooth and silky sound of soft dome tweeters. Also unique to Elios is a completely new and improved drywall leg clamping system, which will provide Installers with the fastest, easiest, most reliable and trouble-free installation of any speakers on the market today.
