LEXINGTON, KY — ELAN Home Systems, a leading manufacturer of award-winning Multi-Room audio/video and home control systems, today announced that shipping has commenced for its new VIA!4.0-EM Touch Panel, new line of Volume Controls and new SPP System Precision Panel. The latest member of the VIA! family, the VIA! 4.0-EM, sports a new slim look, multi decor-matching color options and several Installer-requested options. The new selection of six streamlined Volume Controls are available in Electronic, Slider and Rotary formats while the company’s newly designed SPP System Precision Panel offers Dealers the ideal option for easier wire run installations. The announcement was made by Bob Farinelli, ELAN’s President and Chief Technology Officer.

ELAN’s new, VIA!4.0-EM 4-Inch Color Touch Panel leads the pack with a sleeker, smarter design for fingertip control of all audio, video, lighting, temperature and security systems. The panels also feature real-time video monitoring, customizable layouts, room-matching screen motifs and wall frames and ease of programming. The VIA!4.0-EM’s smaller unobtrusive footprint and affordable price allow it to be installed just about anywhere in the home and is compatible with all ELAN multi-room controllers. In addition, the unit features newly added ports for local RJ-45, power and IR/Sense located on the back of the unit which not only provide added functionality, but make the installer’s job easier, saving time, labor and money for Installers. The VIA!4.0-EM carries an MSRP of $850.00.
The new line of ELAN Volume Controllers features six models in three different designs that include Electronic Push-Button (VSE2), Slider (VSOS, VMOS & VSS) and Rotary (VSR & VSR35). All models feature a finely contoured on-wall look, wall plates with no visible screws, and are available in six decor-matching colors: white, almond, light almond, ivory, black and brown and utilize ELAN’s Equi-Step technology, which provides audibly equal volume increments over all 12 steps. Precision-wound transformers with vacuum impregnated high-grade silicon steel laminates ensure super-flat frequency response with no inductive resonance. ELAN’s long-time patented Override circuit allows page and door chime audio to be heard over the speakers even if the volume control is turned all the way down. Page and doorbell audio levels can be set individually for each room. ELAN’s new Volume Controls carry MSRPs of $36.00 to $190.00 each.
Rounding out the products now shipping is the company’s newest addition to its Precision Panel line, the SPP, which makes connectivity of system wire runs to all ELAN Multi-Room Controllers infinitely faster, easier and even more reliable and problem-free. The SSP has been designed specifically for use with ELAN’s S12, S8 and S6 Multi-Room Controllers.
Precision Panels are installed at the equipment location and provide a quick, clean, error-free means of terminating all the wires coming from every room in the house. Each Precision Panel in the line has clearly-labeled connections on the rear of the panel for keypads, touch panels, door stations and more. The front of the panels features plug-and-play jacks that connect directly to ELAN systems. The SPP System Precision Panel is available at an MSRP of $330.00.
