DivX Enters Into New Multiyear Contract with Philips

Agreement Will Help Enable Global Consumers to Enjoy High-Quality Digital Video on Any Kind of Device or Platform

DivX, Inc. (NASDAQ:DIVX), a digital media company, today announced that it has entered into a new two-year license agreement with Philips Electronics. The agreement will enable Philips to continue to include DivX video functionality on its wide range of consumer lifestyle products, including DVD players, portable devices, digital televisions and next-generation products including Blu-ray DVD devices.

DivX has become a global standard for a high-quality digital video experience that bridges the gap between the PC, the living room and mobile environments.
