CES Marks Official Launch For the DVD-5910
San Jose, Calif., (December 2004) – Silicon Optix is pleased to announce that Denon has selected its Realta’ chip with Hollywood Quality Video (HQV’) technology for its flagship DVD Player and will officially launch the DVD-5910 at the 2005 International CES Show, in Las Vegas, January 6-9, 2005.
Winner of the 2005 Best of CES Innovations award, the Realta HQV chip originates from Teranex’s $60,000 broadcast and post-production platforms. Teranex’s software algorithms run on Realta’s fully-programmable, trillion operations per second video processing engine to deliver a new standard in image quality, a standard Silicon Optix is calling ‘Hollywood Quality Video’, or HQV.
“For our flagship DVD player, we demanded the finest video processing. To determine who had the best technology available, we did side-by-side comparisons. HQV represents the world’s highest quality de-interlacing, pixel-based noise reduction, automatic per pixel film/video cadence detection and detail enhancement.
