Denon AVR-X3100W IN-COMMAND A/V Receiver

Denon just announced three home theater receivers priced from $500 to $1000. The new AVR-X1100W, AVR-X2100W and AVR-X3100W deliver the latest Denon surround sound technology with steady reliable operations down to 4 ohms. Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth allow streaming from Internet radio, Pandora, SiriusXM and Spotify Connect. Meanwhile, the video section is equipped with 4K Ultra HD 60 Hz and 4:4:4 Pure Color video pass-through, a feature of the latest HDMI specification.

Denon AVR-X1100W
The AVR-X1100W 7.2-channel Network A/V Receiver provides 80 watts (8 ohm 20-20kHz 0.08%) with built-in Wi-Fi to easily connect to a home network. Once connected, the AVR-X1100W opens up any room to access many music sources and playback options. Users can stream their own music most conveniently from Apple iDevices via AirPlay, or access their music library on DLNA compatible devices like a network attached storage device (NAS). Moreover, you can choose from thousands of Internet Radio stations and enjoy music from Spotify via the latest Spotify Connect scheme (where available; subscriptions required). For total convenience, a front USB port can be used to connect either USB storage devices, or an iDevice to playback music and charge at the same time. To keep control of all those features, there is a Denon Remote App available for iOS and Android devices.

Taking a look at the video section, the AVR-X1100W owns in total 6 (one at the front) HDMI inputs that let you connect multiple HDMI source devices. The Blu-ray and Game inputs support 4K Ultra HD 60 Hz and 4:4:4 Pure Color video pass-through, a feature of the latest HDMI specification. TheAVR-X1100W is also fully compatible with 3D content. The improved Setup Assistant and Graphical User Interface make it very convenient even for beginners to set up the device with its amazing roster of facilities.

Denon AVR-X2100W
Adding to the AVR-X1100W qualities, the AVR-X2100W features a power amplifier with 95 watts per channel (8 ohm 20-20kHz 0.08%) to create even more stunning cinema sound and detailed music playback. With a total of 8 HDMI inputs and 2 HDMI outputs, this AVR is ready to take over full control of even more digital devices such as Blu-ray players, game consoles, media player, video cameras and more at the same time.

For the first time ever, a Denon AVR is coming equipped with ISF video certification allowing trained dealers to properly calibrate the picture controls of the AVR-X2100W for both day and night viewing.

In addition, the AVR-X2100W is equipped with a powerful video processor section. This feature gives the unit the ability to upconvert and transcode standard definition and high definition video sources up to 4k Ultra HD resolution, and even includes the ability to handle next-generation 4K Ultra HD 60 Hz sources and displays, for the ultimate viewing experience. A more extensive array of inputs, outputs and control options make the AVR-X2100W a truly versatile and grown-up AV control centre at an attractive price point.

Denon AVR-X3100W
The AVR-3100W, packed with advanced technology, includes an audio section that offers the highest resolution audio decoders, including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. Also included are DTS Neo:X advanced multi-channel decoding and Dolby Pro Logic IIz. The AVR-X3100W also comes equipped with Audyssey’s renowned Gold suite of advanced DSP audio algorithms, including MultEQ XT automatic room acoustic measurement and correction system. MultEQ XT provides superior digital correction compared to standard MultEQ, including the ability to measure at up to eight different locations in the room. Audyssey Dynamic EQ and Audyssey Dynamic Volume are also provided, along with Dynamic Surround Expansion for the ultimate home theater audio experience. It comes as well with 2-zone/2-source,- a 2nd zone HDMI video output and digital audio in to zone 2.

Most remarkably, while offering such an amazing and powerful set of next-generation features, the new IN-Command X series models come with a unique Denon Eco mode. It provides the ability to reduce overall power consumption and features an on-screen Eco Meter that lets users see the power consumption reduction effect. The Auto Eco mode automatically switches between normal and Eco modes, depending on the volume level chosen.

Will the AVR-x4000 and the AVR-x4520 be getting the new upgrade treatment as well? I was saving up for the AVR-x4520 but I may just wait that little longer to see what happens
