Crestron Solutions and Projects Dominate Awards Ceremony in London

Crestron was recognized as “Best Trade Supplier” at the CEDIA Awards 2009, held on Friday, April 3rd at The Brewery in London. In addition, seven out of nine installation category winners featured Crestron technology.

Sky News anchor and Sky Technophile presenter Martin Stanford was on hand to present Crestron with the award, which was voted for by CEDIA ESP (Electronic Systems Professionals) who factored standards of service, support, product innovations and training provided by trade suppliers in making their decision.

Commenting on the win, Crestron UK Managing Director, Robin van Meeuwen says, “It is always especially meaningful to receive recognition from those within our industry. We take great pride in our ability to deliver products and solutions that the market demands, with a level of service that exceeds expectations. It is also fantastic that so many of our dealers have themselves been acknowledged for their hard work, dedication and creativity.”

Established in 2006, the CEDIA Awards recognize and reward high quality system design, installation and integration within the residential custom installation industry. The CEDIA Awards provide high profile focus for excellence in the industry and help to set the standard for CEDIA ESP members across CEDIA Region 1, which includes Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).

The CEDIA Awards 2009 certainly proved to be an international affair. Companies from the UK, India, the Netherlands, Pakistan, France, Italy, Greece and Spain were all competing for the coveted trophies, and their participation helped to make the Awards the biggest to date, proving that, despite more challenging times, the residential custom installation industry still has much to celebrate.

Success at the CEDIA Awards comes after a number of significant wins for Crestron, including “Best Control Product for Residential Use” at the InAVation Awards and “Best Manufacturer,” “Best Home Automation System,” and “Best User Control Product,” for the TPS-6X at the SVI Trade Awards earlier this year.
