Corning LCD TV Website a Resource for Consumers

November 14, 2005, Corning, New York — Corning Incorporated, a leading worldwide supplier of large generation glass substrates for liquid crystal displays (LCDs), has created a website to help inform consumers about the benefits of LCD TVs.
The site, www.corning.com/lcdtv, is intended to provide consumers with useful information about LCD flat panel TVs before they enter the show room. It focuses on key benefits such as picture quality, HD resolution, form factor and power consumption. It also provides useful information on topics such as cable connectors and mounting considerations. The latest issue features an article about creating a home theater with an LCD TV display and provides an interactive room planner to help consumers arrange furniture and find the optimal place for their flat panel LCD TV.
“The goal of our site,” said Division Communications Manager Jim Terry, is to provide consumers with accurate information so they can make informed decisions. We are excited about the advantages that LCD TV brings to people in the emerging digital home, and created a communications platform to reach them directly.”
The Corning LCD TV website offers tutorials on LCD technology. Every quarter it will feature a different editorial topic.
