Canon’s highest resolution scanner to date

Canon announced the CanoScan 9000F Color Image Scanner featuring the highest-resolution to date for a Canon scanner product. This high-speed CCD scanner with built-in professional film scanning is ideal for consumers interested in preserving their work or family memories in a safe and easy way without sacrificing overall image quality.

“When making the decision to purchase a color image scanner, the customer wants to ensure the images or documents being scanned can be accomplished easily while also not having to worry about whether the quality will be up-to-par,” said Yuichi Ishizuka, executive vice president and general manager, Consumer Imaging Group, Canon U.S.A. “The addition of the new CanoScan 9000F color image scanner further solidifies Canon’s commitment to providing high-quality, affordable products which satisfy the needs and wants of consumers.”

The new Canon CanoScan 9000F Color Image Scanner provides users with the ultimate photo archiving solution with a maximum color resolution of 9600 x 9600 dpi (Film) and Auto Scan Mode which automatically adjusts settings by detecting what is being scanned. Further aiding accuracy and high-quality color reproduction is FARE Level 3 technology which delivers automatic dust and scratch removal in addition to providing fading, grain and backlight correction. Auto Document Fix has been added to help maintain readability of important documents by sharpening and blackening the text. The CanoScan 9000F is also capable of scanning up to four 35mm slides or twelve 35mm filmstrips at one time further adding to its archival capabilities.

To increase overall ease-of-use, there are seven “EZ Buttons” allowing consumers to quickly Auto Scan, copy, e-mail or create a PDF file with just one push of a button. Additionally, the color image scanner utilizes a white LED which eliminates warm-up time while decreasing power consumption.

The estimated selling price for the CanoScan 9000F Color Image Scanner is $249.99.
