Campfire Audio Andromeda 10 IEMs Prove Anniversary Sound Doesn’t Come Cheap

Campfire Audio celebrates 10 years with the Andromeda 10, a 10-driver flagship IEM debuting at CanJam SoCal 2025, priced at $1699 in green and $2499 for SE Black and SE Gold editions

Campfire Audio Andromeda 10 Colors

Campfire Audio will be turning heads at CanJam SoCal 2025 with a decade of earphone mastery on full display. The centerpiece? The Andromeda 10, a limited-edition flagship celebrating 10 years of Campfire craftsmanship. This isn’t just a rehash of a classic—it’s a statement that the Andromeda legacy is alive, kicking, and ready to show what a decade of refinement sounds like.

And Andromeda 10 isn’t the only reason Campfire’s Year 10 is looking impressive. The Alien Brain continues to punch well above its price bracket, delivering versatility and balance that make many more expensive IEMs look overconfident.

The Axion proves you can bridge the gap between casual listening and audiophile ambition at $249, thanks to Campfire’s Silicon Dynamic Driver and a built-in USB-C DAC. The Relay DAC/AMP flexes serious power from a compact footprint, while the Grand Luna shows Campfire hasn’t forgotten how to flirt with planar magic, debuting its first planar-BA hybrid.

Even the Time Link cable, once Grand Luna-exclusive, is now available separately—six conductors of pure copper and silver-plated copper that give your connectors something to brag about.

Year 10 isn’t just about nostalgia; it’s about showing the competition—FiiO, Noble, Audeze, 64 Audio—how to stay relevant when everyone else is just chasing trends.

Andromeda 10: Ten Years of Craftsmanship, Ten Drivers, Three IEM Styles

Campfire Andromeda 10 SE Gold

Andromeda 10 arrives in three distinct styles to suit every level of earphone obsession. The $1,699.00 USD standard model sticks with the iconic Andromeda green in a precision-machined anodized aluminum housing—classic, understated, and unmistakably Campfire.

For those who like to flaunt their gear, the $2,499.00 USD SE Black edition packs a Black PVD stainless steel body, a black Damascus steel lid, and gold inlays and fasteners that practically dare you to ignore it.

The SE Gold takes the showmanship even further with a Black PVD stainless steel housing, gold Damascus lid, black inlay, and gold fasteners—a look that screams “high-end IEMs aren’t for the faint of heart.”

Inside, the Andromeda 10 doubles the original five-BA design to an impressive 10 balanced armatures, tuned for clarity, balance, and that signature just-north-of-neutral tonality that made the original a reference point. Lesser IEMs? They’ll just have to watch.

Technical Overview

The Andromeda 10 isn’t just doubling down on drivers for show—it’s a finely tuned machine built for serious listeners. With an impedance of 8.5Ω @ 1kHz, a frequency response stretching from 5Hz to 20kHz, and a sensitivity of 94dB @ 1kHz / 12.10 mVrms, it’s ready to deal with just about any source.

Total harmonic distortion clocks in at less than 1%, thanks to the 10 balanced armatures inside: four lows, four mids, and two highs, all custom-engineered by the same in-house team that has been shaping Campfire IEMs for the past decade. These aren’t off-the-shelf BAs—you’re hearing years of obsessive design, experimentation, and listening experience distilled into a single IEM.

The SE launch editions take things a step further. They sport precision-machined PVD stainless steel housings capped with black or gold Damascus lids, and come with a small-batch, premium cable specifically designed for Andromeda 10.

Think 7N OCC gold-plated copper conductors, custom y-split, and terminations engineered entirely in-house. Add an alternate-color travel case, and you’ve got a package that’s as durable and refined as it is eye-catching.

Campfire didn’t stop at hardware. Inside the Andromeda 10, a mix of vintage and ceramic capacitors, custom damping values, and precision-engineered acoustic chambers combine to deliver a sound that honors the original Andromeda’s legacy but pushes clarity, balance, and tonal refinement even further. It’s familiar enough to feel like home, but upgraded enough to make every lesser IEM in its price class look nervous.

The Bottom Line

The Andromeda 10 doubles the classic five-BA architecture into a 10-driver design with four lows, four mids, and dual highs, backed by Campfire’s decade of in-house engineering and a mix of vintage and ceramic capacitors, custom damping, and precision acoustic chambers. It’s a true celebration of the Andromeda legacy, but make no mistake—this isn’t a victory lap.

With rivals like the Noble Kronos, Astell&Kern + 64 Audio XIO, and Astell&Kern LUNA in the same arena, the Andromeda 10 enters a fiercely competitive flagship fight where only the most refined tuning and design will stand out.

Crazy how expensive these universal IEMs have become. I don’t doubt the engineering or sound quality, but $2500 for wired earbuds feels a tad nutty.

How large is the market for these?

      Anton,

Yes, these are rather expensive but they wouldn’t make them if their base didn’t ask for it. Universal IEMs over $2,000 have been around for at least 8 years so this isn’t the start of a new trend. Noble has been making some over $4000 for years. I use a pair of Campfire Audio IEMs that were $650 when I bought them 4 years ago and zero complaints.

The market in Asia for this type of high-end IEM is quite strong. There are plenty of models from a wide range of brands that never see the light of day here.
