in conference rooms and classrooms

Cables To Go, http://www.cablestogo.com a leading provider of high-performance cabling and connectivity solutions, today announced a wireless VGA solution for connecting a computer to a monitor or projector. The TruLink Wireless USB to VGA Adapter Kit, certified by the USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF), enables users to wirelessly display video content from a computer to a remote monitor, projector or television up to 30 feet away.

The Wireless USB to VGA Adapter Kit utilizes Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) technology, which provides a highly secure wireless connection ideal for classroom or conference room presentations or to display content from a laptop to a home entertainment system. It is based on the Wireless USB industry standard for compatibility with other Wireless USB products.

“We have seen significant demand for a wireless VGA solution in training, classroom and conference room settings where customers want simple connectivity from anywhere in the room that easily supports multiple users,” said Bill Diederich, president of Lastar, parent company of Cables To Go. “The Wireless USB to VGA Adapter is a demonstration of Cables to Go’s ability to provide quality connectivity solutions that are both wired and wireless.”

Additional features of the Wireless USB to VGA Adapter Kit from Cables To Go include:
• Transmit high-resolution UXGA and WSXGA video up to 30 feet
• Wireless display connection can be shared by up to six computers
• Video streaming up to 720p resolution
• Supports extended desktop and dual monitor screen modes
• Supports native mode for playback of high-resolution video

The Wireless USB to VGA Adapter kit is based on chipsets from Realtek and DisplayLink, which provide premium performance and reliability.

“Cables To Go’s Wireless VGA Adapter is an innovative and very promising product that brings exciting new functionality, performance and ease of use to consumers,” said Frederic Battaglia, director of marketing at Realtek. “The Wireless VGA application showcases the many strengths of Wireless USB and the underlying ultra-wideband radio technology, leveraging the wired USB ecosystem and providing high wireless data rates.”

The TruLink Wireless USB to VGA Adapter Kit will be available through Cables To Go partners in November 2008 and will be demonstrated at CEDIA 2008 in Booth 255 at the Colorado Convention Center. For more information about Cables To Go please visit http://www.cablestogo.com.
