New High-Gloss, Piano-Quality Finish Adds Elegance and Flair to Sturdy Four-Shelf Component Housing; Matches Floorstanding Burmester Speakers

CES ’08, LAS VEGAS, Jan. 7, 2008 — Burmester Audiosysteme, Germany’s leading manufacturer of high-performance electronics and speakers, introduces an elegant new styling option for the Rack System Cabinets that house its Home Theater or A/V entertainment centers, at the 2008 International Consumer Electronics Show, beginning here today.

Built with exceptional attention to detail, the Rack System Cabinets are now available in Carrera White, a high-gloss, piano-quality finish that immediately communicates the elegance and quality of Burmester components. The new four-shelf cabinets can be combined with Burmester’s 961 MK3 loudspeakers, also available in Carrera White, and Burmester’s many A/V components available in silver housings with chrome front panels for a dramatic, individual design statement.

Burmester’s Rack System Cabinets feature silver trim and anodized aluminum bars. They’re available in two sizes, with dimensions of 778 x 700 x 450 mm and 778 x 1,200 x 450 mm (h/w/d). They continue to be available as well in Burmester’s traditional two finishes — dark macassar ebony and light Swiss pear elsberry, with additional custom finishes available on request.

The 961 MK3 Loudspeaker is an elegant floorstanding three-way model rated at 120 watts with a sensitivity of 89 db and an impedance of 4 ohms. It’s capable of filling even large rooms with precise, detailed sound, reproducing all octaves down to the deepest bass foundation without losing a sense of naturalness and balance, even at low listening levels. It works equally well with components from any of Burmester’s several lines, including Rondo, Classic and Top, as well as with products from other manufacturers.

Burmester’s new Carrera White Rack System Cabinets are available now, and can be seen with the company’s other outstanding products in Suite 29-229, The Venetian Tower, during CES.
