BROADVIEW, IL (6/21/05) — Blaupunkt has introduced its new value-priced ProComponent line of speakers, providing a simple, effective, and cost-efficient upgrade to any car audio system. The line consists of a full range of coaxial speakers, four component speaker sets, and two subwoofer models, all of which deliver outstanding performance and striking cosmetics at a very reasonable cost.

Each ProComponent PCcb component speaker system includes an external crossover unit, and 1/2-inch mylar dome tweeter that includes both surface and flush-mount cups to support a wide variety of installation options. The 5.25, 6.5, and 6.6-inch oversize sets feature attractive mystic blue woofers that are constructed of stiff and lightweight injected polymer for maximum efficiency. All of the woofers are made with durable treated foam surrounds for years of performance, and include multihole mounting baskets, making for simple installation in virtually any car. The new ProComponent PCcb component speakers are available at suggested retail prices ranging from $74.95 to $84.95. The tweeter and crossover are also available without a woofer at a suggested retail price of $44.95.

The ProComponent PCxb Coaxial speakers feature the same attractive cosmetics and driver design as the PCcb component sets in a single basket coaxial design. Each comes equipped with an in-depth installation manual, including cutout templates. The PCxb coaxial speakers are available in a variety of sizes that are direct replacements for most OEM car audio speakers at suggested retail prices ranging from $34.95 to $64.95.

The new PCwb Subwoofers are available with either 10 or 12 inch cones, and are rated for power handling of up to 200 Watts RMS. The cones are constructed of attractive “Mystic Blue” injected polymer for extremely responsive performance and high resistance to resonance. The Subwoofers come equipped with stamped steel baskets, a perforated front-mounted grille, and a magnet cup for protection. They are suitable for a wide variety of sealed, vented, bandpass, and even infinite baffle installations, and include treated foam surrounds for long-term reliability.
