Bang & Olufsen Beosound 2 Gradient Collection

One thing you can’t deny about Bang & Olufsen products is their unique visual styling. They have also taken their styling accents and offered up limited edition collections, sometimes in partnership with others high-end manufacturers such as Ferrari.

Now, Bang & Olufsen is offering the option for individual customers to create their own custom styling options through its Atelier program

The Atelier program has expanded to offer customers the opportunity to create custom-made products for the first time in collaboration with its master artisans in Struer, Denmark. This service puts a spotlight on Bang & Olufsen’s legacy of exceptional sound quality and craftsmanship, offering opportunities for personal expression through one-of-a-kind creations and other customization options.

Bang & Olufsen Atelier Design Customer Request worksheet

For those that need a little guidance on what type of styling and colors they might like, Bang & Olufsen’s Atelier Catalog includes 500,000 possible combinations of colors, materials, and finishes, to design their own one-of-a-kind Bang & Olufsen product, all through a new digital tool, the Digital Composer.

Atelier was launched in response to a significant increase in requests for customization, and bespoke projects.

From Bang & Olufsen’s CEO Kristian Teär: “A customer who commissions custom or bespoke Bang & Olufsen product creates not just a set of speakers, but an extension of their personality and style. We aim to create an experience and a product that resonates with them, building a lasting relationship between Bang & Olufsen and the customer…”

Bang & Olufsen Atelier Customization

Bang & Olufsen Atelier Offers customization options within the following areas

  • Atelier Bespoke: Collaborating directly with an Atelier artisan, customers can create custom products incorporating materials or specific colors for a one-off creation.
  • Atelier Catalogue: Customers can choose from over 500,000 possible combinations of fabric, wood, and aluminum finishes to produce their products.
  • Atelier Editions: Limited editions of iconic products in the portfolio, showcasing the finest Bang & Olufsen craftsmanship.

To get the ball rolling, Bang & Olufsen is offering up the Beosound 2 Gradient Collection. This collection of the Beosound 2 Wireless Powered Speaker illustrates the possibilities of what the Atelier program has to offer. The Gradient collection features ten exclusive designs, each inspired by the emotions of sound. However, there are only ten numbered pieces per design.

What is Beosound 2?

Now in its 3rd generation, the Beosound 2 is a 360-degree wireless speaker crafted in solid aluminum. It works over Bluetooth, AirPlay or Google Cast and two units can pair together for stereo playback. In addition, Bang & Olufsen’s Beolink technology enables multi-room setups and use with Beosound soundbar or Beovision TV, wirelessly. Or keep it simple and just place Beosound 2 on the floor or low furniture for use as a standalone wireless speaker in any room.
