AVAD Tapped to Sponsor 2007

America’s leading distributor of custom home electronics chosen to host
CEDIA training and certification events across the United States

Van Nuys, Calif. — September 14, 2006 — In keeping with its corporate mission of educating electronic systems contractors nationwide, AVAD, America’s leading distributor of custom home electronics, is teaming up with the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) to provide a full year of CEDIA education and certification opportunities in 2007. AVAD was asked by CEDIA to host the courses because of AVAD’s long-held commitment to dealer and installer education, ample locations across the United States and high-tech classroom facilities.

Sponsored by AVAD, the training events include several two-day Electronic System Designer Boot Camp Workshops, several 1-day Intensive Home Theater Acoustics Workshops and many CEDIA Installer I and Installer II certification reviews.

“AVAD is committed to providing education to installers,” said Bob Gartland, president of AVAD. “In 2006, AVAD offered over 450 online and classroom trainings to our integrators in cities across the United States and we expect to surpass that number for 2007. Additionally, we’re also dedicated to supporting CEDIA educational and certification classes — as evident from the large variety and number of CEDIA events sponsored by AVAD in the coming year.”

The Installer Level I, Installer Level II and Designer credentials are awarded for a 36 month period. Being CEDIA-Certified strengthens a dealer’s professional credibility and ability to provide the quality services today’s customers expect. AVAD has long been a supporter of encouraging the company’s large dealer base to become CEDIA-certified.
