authorPOINT 3.8 has been released. Rapid e-learning presentations can be easily created in this improved SCORM compliant e-learning tool as it offers advanced functionality for instructors, teachers and presenters.
authorPOINT is a rapid e-learning presentation creation tool, which installs within PowerPoint as a toolbar and captures PowerPoint presentations when an instructor is presenting. It comes with the option to embed presenters’ video through a web cam as they present, or integrate video and audio as required.
Presentations created with authorPOINT can be saved in Flash or Windows Media formats. Further, the Flash file can be uploaded to a dedicated server on authorSTREAM which provides the presenter with a unique URL to deliver streaming Flash presentations.
authorPOINT 3.8 now offers advanced functionality for tutors and presenters with excellent PowerPoint capture; a new, improved Flash player; and optimized slide-size. The result is a better synchronization of slides in the final video outputs, and very reliable video output.
Interestingly, authorPOINT offers output to Windows Media format also, which is free without any limits in the trial version; this means that if your need is to convert PowerPoint to Windows Media video format, then you need not pay for this functionality. authorPOINT offers two download options: You can either download and run the “Smart Installer”, which checks your system for installed components, and downloads only the required ones, or you can download the full package of all required components needed to run authorPOINT.
