This unique device can achieve connections though a single cable at such great distances, unlike any other on the market. Atlona Technologies’ AT-VGA-RS300SRS (Sender and Receiver) Extender units with stereo audio allow users to extend VGA (WUXGA) signal further than ever before. The Atlona AT-VGA300SRS is a twisted pair transmitter and receiver modules for computer video graphics. Using a single cost effective CAT5/5e/6 cable, these units extend signal at distances up to 330m (1,000ft) at VGA resolutions up to 1920×1200 while still maintaining very high video quality. The sender unit (AT-VGARS300S) is connected to the signal source and is then connected to the receiver unit (AT-VGA-RS300R) via the CAT5/5e/6 cable. The transmitter converts VGA, Audio, RS-232 and IR inputs to a twisted pair signal (Cat5/6/7), and the receiver module converts the twisted pair signal back into the VGA, Audio, RS-232 and IR data signals. The receiver unit is then connected to the desired display.
The sender unit also contains a local VGA and Audio Loop-Out for a local display to be active without a need of a separate splitter. These extenders feature built-in EQ and Gain control to compensate for lower quality cable or long distance. With the built-in EQ and GAIN control, the transmission path can be adjusted to adapt to the cable quality as well as video bandwidth.
