Platter Mats for Ukraine Fundraiser

eCoustics and Analog Restorations have announced the launch of a global Hi-Fi industry fundraising initiative to raise emergency funds for Ukrainian relief efforts with the creation of 2 limited edition cork platter mats commemorating Ukraine’s heroic resistance

Russia’s barbaric and immoral invasion of Ukraine has created the largest humanitarian disaster in Europe since WW II. More than 3.5 million Ukrainians have already been forced to flee the war and take refuge in neighboring Poland, Slovakia, Moldova, Germany, and Romania.

An additional 7 million Ukrainian civilians have been displaced by the Russian campaign which has left cities like Mariupol, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, and Luhansk in ruins. Dozens of Ukrainian villages have been systematically erased from the map with thousands of civilian casualties.

The Ukrainian military has put up very stiff resistance for the past month and heroically continues to defend and counter-attack against the Russian onslaught.

Putin’s “de-Nazification” of Ukraine has also led to the destruction of movie theaters, museums, art galleries, concert halls, schools, and universities to erase not only the people of Ukraine but their culture as well.

For those of us from Ukraine and neighboring Poland, Romania, and Slovakia – this war brings back painful memories of genocide of innocent men, women, and children in Eastern Europe.

None of us can stop the fighting but we can provide immediate relief to the millions of people who are suffering.

Those of us who are in contact with friends, relatives, and fellow journalists and members of the Hi-Fi and Vinyl community in Ukraine have heard stories and seen evidence of Russian atrocities that are almost impossible to fathom in 2022.

I am hooked on Chris’ work! I now have three of his mats (he took my choices and made them for me!) and will be ordering at least (I hope he can do them all!) 7 more for myself and my family!

    So far.

Ian, if not for you and this site I would not have known about this gentleman and his art. It is as I have told him, we all have a soundtrack to our life and his work goes hand in hand with that soundtrack. Call it photographs of musical memories if you will, but distinctly unique in their presentation.

It is not overstating anything to say that his art breathes life into my world. Thank you, Ian and Brian and every one there that you work with.
