Apple Patents Hint of Stylus Pen Product

Apple Patent Stylus 200

Something big is brewing at Apple, and it’s not about Apple Watch. We just caught word from PatentlyApple.com that Apple has filed their 10th patent for a stylus or smart pen. Nobody knows for sure, but by the looks of some patent diagrams it could be a pressure sensitive input device for artists, possibly even a digital paintbrush. Or maybe its an ink pen that can remember everything that is written with it.

PatentlyApple.com says Apple has been filing stylus related patents for 6 or 7 years. Either they are on to something big, or trying to send Samsung down a rat hole. Steve Jobs is famously known for hating the stylus, but Tim Cook’s Apple could be ripe for the taking the plunge.

Let’s think about what it could be for… iPen, iWrite, iScribble, iDraw, iCrayon, Air Pen, Mac Pen, iStylus, iTouch, iPad Pro, iPad Plus, or just the Apple Pen?

By the way, here is the patent application link at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for some mind numbing reading.

We’re going to put some feelers out and see what we can dig up. Stay tuned!
