Dan Clark Audio Aeon 2 Headphones

New Online Store

Apos Audio recently came onto the scene selling hi-fi gear, especially for headphone enthusiasts. They are a new U.S. authorized retailer of top audiophile brands including Topping, Stax, Meze Audio, HiFiMAN, Dan Clark Audio and dozens more.

A few things make the Oakland, California based company unique. They have a price match policy that’s good for 30 days after purchase, along with 30 day return policy. They’ll extend the manufacturer’s typical one-year warranty by an extra year, effectively doubling warranty, which could be huge. Rest assured if something does go wrong their customer support is available by live chat on their website and email. And since they’re on the west coast, perhaps east coasters may get support into the early evening.

A couple new items that just hit the store are Moondrop’s Illumination Reference-Class Dynamic IEM for $799.99. They’re the company’s flagship dynamic-driven in-ear headphone featuring premium hardware, an anti-scratch body, and reference tuning. Also, just-in is the SMSL SU-9 Balanced MQA-Enabled DAC at $439.99. It claims to offer the industry’s highest dynamic range (DNR) of 132db in a 32-bit, 8-channel DAC. It decodes 32-bit/768kHz PCM and native DSD512 with a total harmonic distortion plus noise (THD+N) rating of 0.00009%.

Topping A90 and D90 Ensemble

Popular Topping products are also available including the Topping D90 DAC ($699.99) and A90 Headphone Amp ($499.99). When both products are purchased together with an audiophile headphone, Apos will discount the order by at least $200 or more, depending on the headphone chosen. Apos calls such product pairings Apos Ensembles.

Apos Ensembles

Apos Ensembles are specially curated by the audio professionals at Apos to ensure coordinated groups of equipment provide a superior listening experience. Every Apos Ensemble consists of DAC, amp, and headphone options that pair exceptionally well together. What’s assuring, is that you can still return any part of the Ensemble not to your liking. Plus, if you’ve already purchased an item from Apos that’s part of an Ensemble, Apos will honor discounted pricing when purchasing the remaining items. They say once your order is complete, just start a chat session or email them at support@apos.audio to get the difference refunded.
