About 2 months ago I purchased the Gateway 42" plasma EDTV.
I recently purchased the Samsung DVD-HD841 and must have received a defective unit, because the 480p picture looks horrible.
I was wondering if there is any consensus on what DVD player looks best and offers the highest picture quality on an EDTV.
The one feature of the Samsung that I liked a lot was the EZ Letterbox Eliminator, which allowed you to watch all sources in widescreen without black bars. It would be nice to get another player with a similar feature, but it is not necessary. Picture quality is the number one factor.
