So I recently purchased a Vizio m557-g0 and it had defects such as random white lines that will flash so it's going back. My next option was the Vizio m558-g1 but now I'm not sure. Kinda got a sour taste in my mouth with Vizio. I'm coming from a Sony x700d 55" which I loved. So I have three debates. Mostly this TV will be used for youtube, blu-ray's and netflix/disney+ all ran off an xbox one x. I use my TV every night.
IPS or VA?
Dolby Vision or just HDR10?
Stick with Vizio or give a different brand a shot?
My budget that I would like to stick around is $600 or less but if it's worth it to have a TV that will last for years I'll go up to the $950 range.
Coming from the x700d to the VA panel I was shocked by how dark it was even after messing with the settings. So maybe I need a brighter TV?
