Can anyone help? We're confused about how to hook up our new DVD player to our system which already has TiVo. It looks like the cables from the TiVo box go into the TV S Video jack and into the receiver surround sound jacks. Where would the DVD cables hook in?

I got a DVD for Christmas, and everytime I try too hook it up the DVD plays but it doesn't show up on screen. My Dad just bought the cords and stuff that went to it, but that didn't make it come up on screen either. So, can you please tell us how too hook up a DVD player to a TV that has a built-in VCR?
