I have a Toshiba DVD Video Recorder D-R4SU. I have it hooked up to cable. I have a Digital converter box.The cable is hooked up to the box, the box to the DVD player and the player to the TV. I can view TV with this setup but I can't get anything to work on the player itself. The only buttons that work are the power button and the open/close button. I can't even get anything to work on the remote (I did put in fresh batteries). I have a Panasonic TV with a button to switch from TV to video. I have tried it both ways but still nothing works. Any ideas?
