Silver Member Username: ChaffPost Number: 601 Registered: Jan-10 | A Pakistani city will soon have eunuchs as officials who would collect outstanding water supply dues.Up to 10 eunuchs will be recruited as recovery officers in Sialkot city in Punjab province. The eunuch community has welcomed the move and assured that each and every rupee of government dues would be recovered and deposited with the public exchequer, Express Tribune reported Friday. The authorities said the eunuchs would be hired on contract basis. This would be the first time that eunuchs would be recruited to official posts in Sialkot. Pervaiz Iqbal Butt, an official, said the decision had been taken keeping in view the poor performance of the recovery staff. Arrears have mounted to Rs.20 million due to the poor performance of recovery staff. Butt said they would offer a handsome package to the eunuchs with performance-based bonuses. He said the eunuchs would conduct a door-to-door campaign to recover outstanding dues. The official added that the hiring would be on merit. Eunuchs' guru, Ishrat Parveen alias Reema, said Thursday that the eunuchs would ensure that all outstanding dues were recovered and deposited with the public exchequer. |

The only danger of India not qualifying is the following scenario: (i) SA looses to Bangladesh SA wins against Ireland this will result in: SA and Bangladesh finish with 8 points each (ii) West Indies looses to England West Indies wins against India. this will result in: West Indies finish with 8 points India and England finish with 7 points each This will kick in the run rate which is currently at +.768 for India and +0.013 for England. To overcome .755 deficit England have to win big against West Indies and India will have to loose big against West Indies as well, only if Bangladesh has beaten South Africa and England has beaten West Indies England - West Indies is on March 17 SA - Bangladesh match is on March 19 India -West Indies is on March 20 If England has won and SA has lost, India will play West Indies fully aware of the situation and may play safe trying not to loose wickets for run rate. It is very unlikely India can finish 1st - for which they will have to beat West Indies and South Africa will have to loose to either to Ireland or West Indies, chances are SA will win both so they will likely finish 1st. India can win against West Indies, by which they will finish 2nd. Then West indies if they beat England will finish 3rd and Bangladesh will finish 4th., of course if West indies loose to England as well West Indies will win on run rate with Bangladesh for fourth place. India can finish third if West Indies wins against both England and India and South Africa wins both their matches as well. Then of course India can finish 4th as well as in my earlier post.
