Sharp Aquos LC-46E77UN dropped sound

About a year ago my sound went out. I read somewhere there was a way to bring sound back using the remote. I think, but not sure, that it was some sort of hard start of the TV. It was posted in Aug 2007. It worked first time. I don't remember how to do it and am looking around to check for anyone who knows how to hard start TV using remote.
