JIMMY JONES: Fixes available for Viewsat are currently for the Ultra and the HD models. This fix consists of buying a device called WF (Weather Forcaster), about $100. Then you load a particular file and hope for the best. The technology, which is also known as IKS Public Server is prone to tremendous ups and downs.

The other alternative, still using the essentially the same setup as above is IKS Private server. Costs at least $35 for one year subscription. Currently, the service is a bit better but still quite precarious compared to what you were used.

To repeat, there is NO solution for your Viewsat extreme. The above solutions apply to Viewsat Ultra and to the Viewsat 9000 HD.
