I have a Samsung HC-P4741W and have tried to research this problem, but had had no luck. I have the light flashing issue by the power button that I have seen others questioning, but my problem goes one step further. I took the back off the TV to check out some of the solutions offered for the previous mentioned problems, and what I found out was, when I plug the TV in, I hear the little noise it makes like it is coming on, then quickly clicks off. Mind you, I didn't hit the power button, just plugged it into a power source. What I also noticed was a little puff of smoke coming from an electrical board on the left hand side looking into the back of the TV. This board is located in front of the audio/video connections area for a DVD player and stuff. Any idea what's causing this and is this something that can possibly be repaired by me as opposed to taking it to a service tech? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!
