I have been trying to diagnose a problem with a Samsung HLP4674wx and believe I have it narrowed down to the color wheel but would like verification if anyone can provide assistance. The bulb and DMD board were recently replaced. The problem starts after varied amounts of use (sometimes ~30 min, sometimes after 5-8 hours). There is a ticking (almost like the sound a hard drive makes when accessing data - listen closely) that corresponds to the flashing on the screen that can be seen in the video.
If anyone has experience on this and can offer their advice it would be greatly appreciated. I found this video on youtube which is very similar to my problem but on a projector.
I have also taken the color wheel out and examined it. There is a slight notch in the power wire where it exits the housing but it does not seem to go into the wire itself (just the insulation - although it is very close).I have pictures of this if they would be of assistance.
