Mr,Doreen

My notebook will not boot at startup.
Windows Vista Home basic cannot find the boot record which results in a loop infinite.
Please advise,

If your fan is not working graphics card could be getting to hot before boot. Is your fan working?

Hi Yugene!

Be sure that nothing are hooked in USB port or any port!
Sometime if you hook a i-pod or somethink like this, the bios will not see your HDD!
Go in Bios menu! Power the Laptop then press delete many time to access, check what is in the first boot!

Are you able to enter in Safe Mode with F8?

Check this link to Vista to enter in the Safe Mode:}http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial61.html

Try to return to a old restore date!

You can also use your Boot disc or Vista disc to re-install Vista!
