I just read that my new Pioneer DVD recorder can't record some Dish broadcasts! What the heck does that mean, what broadcasts can't it record? I have Dishnetwork BTW..

hdtv maybe? hope dishnetwork doesn't insert macrovison . the software in a dishnetwork receiver is totaly upgradable by satalight. they could do this easy. but on the other hand there are millions of people that have the dish hooked through the vcr only. this would cause the phones at dish to ring off the hook. as far as i know if your vcr can record it, so can yor dvd-r.
