Hey guy's,

I have had this TV for about 4 years now, and have had the lamp replaced twice. So i know this is not the problem.

But over the years the quality of pic is not as vibrant anymore. We are heavy smokers and i am thinking that the inside of the screen needs to be cleaned because i notice streaks behind it. and also i should probably clean the lens while i am at it.
Is there anything special i should know before i take this thing apart? besides unplugging it.

Once you open it, it will disable the HDMI port (light sensing switch). So, after you reassemble the unit, you will have to reset it. Search this forum and you should find the procedure to do so.

Went really well, Now it is like WOW. There is my picture i used to have.a little grainy but i can adjust it i believe.

Only problem is that i got cleaning fluid stuck in between the 2 panels and now i got black spots at the bottom of the screen. filled with liquid. but it should go away in a few days. unless i take the 2 apart and get rid of it .
