i have a samsung dlp 5687w, i have owned it for three years and it is starting to shut off on me. the picture quality is still like new, the only prob is it shuts off whenever it wants too. it does not turn back on, but when i turn it back on it makes a buzzing sound.. when i turn it back on it takes a couple of seconds and comes back on. it might shut of again in 5 minutes or 1 hour it varies, and help would be great thank you!!!!!!!!!!
Hmmmm, that sound like a color wheel issue, normally when you hear a buzzing sound on a Samsung DLP TV it's the color wheel having trouble spinning, either it has something stuck or the center baring is off place, I suggest you take a look in to it and see if you can spin it manually with the TV off to try to reproduce the same noise.
