Big news today is that there is Viewsat IKS called v-link is coming. See my post above. I expect Pansat will follow suit.
This offering might be from Viewsat enthusiasts - not from Viewsat or Viewtech company. This is in keeping with the direction taken by Sonicview, Coolsat and CNX.
Nfusion remians totally inactive. EKS is also down.

Sonicview has new files for only certain hubs - Only newer hubs have to have this file.

IKS working on:
CNX, Coolsat, Dreambox, KBox, I-Link, Satzen, Sonicview and Sonysat
Not working on:
Nfusion Neosat.
Kbox still has a lot of DN channels missing and no BEV.
Sonysat is having problems with off-shore server for DN, but has a lot of Bev channels.
Coolsat remains static at a lower channel count than others, but no reported problems. They have not yet started with Captain 7000, 7100.

Attention Sonysat IKS Users:
In order to assure the quality of service of our SonySat users the server includes some counter measures to avoid abuse.
1) If a malformed data packet is sent (even once) - the user is banned, the protocol used includes error correction and certain information used to guarentee packet delivery. If a hacker attempts to reverse engineers this protocol (or tries too) and makes the slightest error - the system will AUTOMATICALLY ban you.
2) If you attempt to use IKS on a provider we do not support (currently IKS is only supported on Bell and Dish) - the system will AUTOMATICALLY ban you.
Bans will last until the server is restarted *typically once a week", but could last longer.
If you are using IKS on a SS 55000, 4000 or 5000 with an official dongle/official firmware, this will not impact you.

Donation Drive for Sonysat Team

Ok guys I know times are tough for some people and I understand the lack of jobs going on around the country but as you all know SS has once again moved servers again to a much more stable place that can handle about any load.. Now also he has lost alot of money in the other servers and the costs with this new one are over 400.00 a month to keep running... As you all know it is off shore will secure our safety which has always been the number 1 priority and will continue to be the safest most stable iks system out there.. The team is always staying ahead of the game with people trying to hack into our servers and piggy backing off them but that too has been stopped .. This service will continue as long as they can keep it going and sales alone believe or not don't do it all .. That is why it is important for us as members to show our appreciation not only by saying thank you once in awhile but to support the cause to keep us #1 by having the best support tem in the business... So I ask you all to please do what ever you can to show support to Space and his team because they have worked morning noon and night on this for months to make every member as happy as possible.. They could have just said heck with it and gave us what we had which was alot of freezing like every other iks system out there but they wouldn't have any part of that they want to be the best and the best cost money simple as that guys... Remember the more we contibute the more we get it is simple business... I've said about all I want to say but if any other Mods want to chime in here please feel free to do it.. Like I said it is for a great cause...Thank you mutants very much The mods and team really appreciate the great membership base we have here ...
