Sony Sat is always up!

The best box since ECM, so it is very difficult to found one because the sales are very good for them.

I cant seem to find a place that sells them. Any suggestions where to buy from. Seems like a good alternative while waiting for KBox to come back to life.
Are there any other better alternatives?
Thanks

All IKS is expensive, unreliable and legally very dangerous.

c&p from other site...

Well, I've had the Sonysat DCR 5500 long enough to give an honest review on it. This receiver has the best picture of all the IKS boxes I have as I have had them all hooked up with Super S to the same Tv / Monitor with the same settings. This one puts it as close to HD as I've been as I've seen HD and it's not far off. Apparently the best picture comes with Component Video, not Composite Video but I found Super S really put the jam in my doughnut. I'm impressed.
This box is quite good at providing first hand surprises as it has the most automated method in scanning your system to find your switch, the sats and the whole nine yards. It really is a few steps beyond the average IKS box when it comes to this. Once this box has been loaded with the bin file and hub file, it requires few updates so fewer bin files are needed or required.
The downsides are, it can be intimidating as it has a longer learning curve when it comes to menu and submenus although they aren't huge, they can be a bit of a challenge initially. This box has some of the very best first hand support and if push comes to shove, extreme support is there to kick in and bail you out. I know, I've been there, done that. The EPG needs to be updated, no question as it really is in dire need of upgrading but it is in the works as a new EPG should be available soon. It is a smaller, more compact receiver than most, reliability is second to none, seldom down and provides a long, long list of channels. Fact is, it's the only box I have that has a lot of French Canadian channels up on Bev 91. Super Channels are up most of the time and many others are also being added and supported with the International channels as well. The biggest downside to this box is buying one, they are sold out everywhere but for those looking or thinking of buying one, you can check out the DCR 5500 at the Sonysat.net as they have the technical specs and list of authorized dealers. The picture quality is really, really quite stunning for a non HD box and this really pushes me to provide this review even though there are others who would be able to provide a better review, no doubt .... Tech07 would be just one of several who can provide first hand support for the Sonysat 5500, another great box

Is there a dealer in GTA for SonySat? I tried several stores but can't find any who has the knowledge of the box.

Is there a trade in discount with any?

thanks in advance

You can check with Maritime FTA they are the authorized distributors of the box, plus they are 10 dollar cheaper than the other website offering the same box.

PS. No one has stock of sonysat right now you place an order and wait for 4 weeks or so to get it!!
