Do you have a soft mod wii? I'm guessing your asking, because your soft mod is having network issues or is it trying to update the firmware?

I have the latest firmware with the soft mod and went through about 5 out of the 120 games I have that are connected to the back of the wii and no problems at all with internet.

change the firmware/patch the firmware and you can play games you copied or download, plus it opens it up so you an do other things with it like play your old emulators and play movies on it with the hard drive that's connected to the back of the USB.
I downloaded over 120 games and have never purchased a game before. I just have the hard drive connected to the back and select what game I want to play.

Just bought another one for my family member on cyber monday. Amazon had it for 179 shipped, no tax, then I bought a 1.5TB hard drive for the back at 99 dollars. Which I figure 99 dollars is the cost of about 2 or 3 games, then it just took me 24 hours and transferred all of my games, emulators...etc

But sorry I'm not helping you, seems like your issue is something else.

Thanks for the info!

I have enough games, this is just a wi-fi access problem to Nintendo server.
