If you look for true FTA available on your receiver, you can get Globecast on 97.0 position there are many Arabic channels for free.

Since you have not mentioned where you are located, I may add that Hispasat 1C/1D at 30W has an arabic bouquet and the quality is impressive. Hardly no video compression. All free of charge.

But you might need a large antenna. Please post where you live (general area no need to give exact city if you prefer remaining anonymous).

Hi everyone:
I am trying to point my dish to Nimiq 1 with little success. I am using a 76 cm Samsung dish and a Captive Works 600 receiver. I searched the elevation and the the azimuth angles on the web for my location and adjusted my dish to these values( elevation 43.6, azimuth 187.6. However, I still can't get any quality when pointing the dish to the satellite location. I tried moving the dish in both directions(right and left) but no quality at all. The signal strength is good, however. What do I need to do to correct this problem. Do I need to adjust and change transponder settings or any of the other settings in my antenna setting menu? Could someone help, please??? Thank you!!

I have friends with the same dish that i have and they told me that they get the arabic programming channels using either Galaxy 11 or nimiq 1. I don't know how accurate that is. Unfortunately, someone else installed it for them and they don't know how to help. My location is Indianapolis like Plymouth said. In my receiver (Captive Works 600) I don't have Globesat or Hispasat.

The problem is that your receiver can't get any channels, you must buy a new one like a NFusion Phoenix always kooked on internet and get the code on it.

Yaser says he wants FTA channels. No need to change his receiver.

He just needs to be redirected to Hispasat at 30W to get the arabic bouquet free of charge and at no cost with his existing receiver and antenna.

The arabic channels are amongst the strongest on Hispasat along with the Cuban and Columbian channels. He should have no problem with his 65cm antenna.

Sorry,,,, Yaser mentioned he had a 76cm antenna and not 65. Misread.

At this size, he should have no problem at all.

I was just curious Outer Limits do they have any english channels out there.

I don't scan very much past echostar 3 @ 61.5, but I do have the capability, is it worth my time?

Ole McDonnald: Koweit TV-1 is an all time English programming from BBC.

There is Press TV all in English but it is a 24h newschannel from Iran. You might not like it specially if you are American.

Besides the arabic channels, everything else is Spanish.

Plymouth I also receive Galaxy 19 at 97W which has tons of arabic channels but the quality is absolute junk. These idiots put 15 to 20 stations per transponder. Absolute compression. Absolute fuzziness !!!

I would like to thank everyone that respoded to my questions. However, I tried everything I know to get quality but with no success. I never had a problem with the small dishes that work on dish network. I always got the signals from 119 and 110 as well as 61.5 (all west) when i had dish network within a few minutes of trying. I don't know why i am having trouble with this big dish. Maybe if someone could walk me through step by step on how to set it up, I could get the job done!!

yaser alfaress the setup is the same for a small or large dish.

1) Dish mast must be plumb and level.
2) By Zip code make sure elevation and azimuth
are correct
3) Clear view to the satellite.
4) Allow 5-10 seconds between any movements
of the dish. This allows the receiver to complete
a signal scan
5) Good luck.

yaser alfaress point your 76 cm Samsung dish
to Galaxy 19 at 97.0°W change your LNB to a Linear.
