If you want RTN you need to point your dish at 83W which is AMC 9, then you can start dialing in the channels. Sometimes blindscan works sometimes it doesn't.

Lyngsat has some good channel info but some is not up to date.

Catchy tune Applebee's.

I didn't find much on 72 or 89. I don't think those channel are up most of the time.

I'll just keep scanning the horizon until I find a decent ABC, CBS, NBC, or FOX affiliate.

Last time I had one was KUIL but it's gone now. I was hoping someone had channel mapped out that was still up but wouldn't show on a blindscan.

A conical scalar ring is used to concentrate a C band signal into your C band or C/Ku band LNB.

WS International and BSC are the only manufacturers I have found. BSC rings are much less expensive.

You probably need a 4 foot dish to use them effectively, but I have heard rumors that you may be able to pick up very strong C band signals with a smaller dish.

WS-KU2C is about $50 and good for dishes as small as 48". According to Sadoun, people have used it on 39" dishes with success.
Some people consider it much better than the BSC conical scalar ring

If you scan for 'fta only ' you won't find it

It's the Race Track Network and would be scrambled..

..depending on your receiver and bin file .. you could enter the keys and provider ID under nagra1 and watch it.

info is here, under nagra1 95w

On CW700S, you cna have the factory BIN and the latest on a USB drive and install easily.
You will have to install BIN 192 using loader and computer, and give the serial number. Then continue using USB drive for further work.

tentative date is 11/15
c/p

As our subscribers already know, the changeover to DISH Network, originally announced for early September, will not take place for a few weeks. The new tentative date is November 15. DISH Network representatives should be able to assist subscribers with the changeover by the middle of October. The firm launch date will be determined by DISH Network. RTN will continue to broadcast as normal until the changeover is complete. We will continue to advise if the situation changes.

Beater Drumins, I don't know much about C-Band. I would think it would have to do with the way its mounted. I think BUDs have some kind of arm that moves the dish and this can be controled by a diseq or usuals compatible receiver just like my Ku setup.

I would just do a "BUD setup" search on google or some other search engine and check out what other people do or did.

What you want know?

Chumley

The motor RG-6 input connector broke and the motor does not have enough power to turn, it can be a cable also. You can have to open the motor and replace the plastic gear or lubricated the mecanism.

Thanks to all responses about the BUD setup. I have a 10' dish set up for C-band now that I used back in the VC1 days. I want to adapt it to my CNX Duo or CS 6k and utilize the large dish/better signal and \programable arm movement feature instead of buying all new stuff. Am I nuts or is this possible?

I don't know why I waste my time talking to a moron.
but let me show people here how stupid you really are.
You are saying that

The LNB work fine, do you realy think he does not have power.

Chumley said that his motor was stuck at
Horizons 2 at 74.0°W he didn't mention
anything about his LNB working or not working

Now here what you tell Chumley

Chumley
The motor RG-6 input connector broke and the motor does not have enough power to turn, it

Well if you are right how can it have the power to
work the LNB but don't have the power to run the motor
since both operate on the same voltage?
Besides would it be better to check the voltage to the motor first?

I think you enjoy starting trouble here.

I don't know what was wrong with my set up , the dish was ending up at east limit when I select go to 0.

Manually set motor to 0 (74w) and tried to select new sat but dish would go back to far east - set dish back to 0 and gave up for evening.

Fixed with Factory default.

Mickey mouse

I gived few problems which we can have with motor.

Note that: the motor can try to turn and you can lose the LNB signal and stop because under voltage and it usualy take 1 to 2 minutes before that you will be able to restart the motor.

I have 2 motorized dishes, I know it a little.

The first thing to do is a Factory default which is the Chumley problem, sometime the receiver is blind like you and a good clean up is needed.

Hey Chumley, how do you find this info?
Fuse / John Mayer Concert

91W

H

The only thing I see posted at LyngSat is this
Galaxy 17 at 91.0°W 11945 V tp 12
(ABC feeds) (E) DVB 3979-3/4

Do you Blind scan all the true free to air satellites
or are they listed some where else?

I was wondering if anyone else is still getting the NBC MUX on 72W. I lost it and the CBS channel on 125W.

Is anyone getting a signal from these guys or are they off the air?

Nalin, you mean Chumley. Yes he might know, but anyone who plays around with real deal FTA might also.

Captain, I'm not getting much right now. I rescanned 91W and 105W and came up with some kind of mexican baseball feed and a Ellen Degeneres show feed if you have an HD receiver you might be able to pick up something I cannot.

Some setups might require you to change the TP

Viewsat, and for the matter.. NO sat is any closer to hacking N3 than they were 3 months ago. All their hope was riding on Fred Raud who (supposedly) had thousands of pictures of the die (taken with that scope) and Trinity (who is now busted) who was gonna help put it all together, and send it to Korea for the finishing touches... see the way it works is.. you have your coders.. who actually do the hard work, who then pass the information on to the "team's" like Sonicview, Captiveworks etc..once those guys do what they have to do in regards to making that information work with receiver specific hardware, it then gets passed on to someone who actually has the source code to add in there, encrypt the bin, and pass it back to someone who distributes it to the masses. This is usually the process your beloved bin takes before it gets to ******** etc. Thats why it was always like.. "It's coming.. few hours... few more hours...because someone wasn't passing it along in a timely manner. Ok, now that we got this out of the way.. this brings us to today..

N3 is a beast and manufacturers like Nfusion knew that which is why they chose IKS off the bat. Kbox.. same thing... All hope was riding on these a.........s like David Fuss & Fred Raud who turned out to be rats and informants. Then Trinity got busted and sadness enveloped the community. I'm not certain who Trinity is but word had it that he or she was sharing information between CW, SV, & VS. So now that Trin is out of the picture, these guys are left to fend for themselves.

Some FTA sites (you know who they are) are stooping to new lows in an effort to keep their numbers up and their ad revenue. They are intentionally posting bullshit in an effort to jump start the community. I personally have been approached by a few people suggesting I create fake nicks here and post bullshit.. which I kindly turned down. I will not insult the fine members here by testing their intelligence. We have all been arond that barrel more than once and I'd like to keep this a place where you can get away from all that. Thats the main reason we rely on donations and our google ad revenue.. because the FTA dealers and manufacturers wanted us to "sell out" in order to jump onboard and we turned them down. We will not post whatever they want us to post, and we will not try to convince you to buy a receiver that we ourselves would not buy! Yes, I have been a mod, or supermod at some sites and I know the inner workings and what conversations really take place between staff members in private and most of it is a continual effort to deceive the masses to "keep them here". Thats why I joined the ranks of ******** and vowed to make it different.. no matter what revenue we may sacrifice in doing so. In turn, I realized that all you guys want is the truth and the donations continued to trickle in. So thats the way we keep it! Sucka Free!

Now for the truth that many of you contribute for monthly to hear on this site.. we thank those of you who have made it possible these last 2 years..

The truth is.. N3 is hacked, the cards are compromised and the information is being kept a closely guarded secret by the folks who are bringing you devices such as the "Slinger" by Mili and crew. They see this as their time to shine and make the money that FTA deprived them of. There is already evidence of "dealerware" and cards being programed in small circles. The people who have the information are actually too scared to sell it to anyone for fear of ending up in court next to Kwak. So the next suggestion is to "Just give it away", to which the reply is always.. "HELL NO". There is also word of a rom206 partial dump floating around which may or may not assist in a card hack or at the least, aid in opening more iks channels and keeping them open.

The main players or "Hero's" of last generation who contributed to the success of FTA are now in hiding and are leaving it all up to the new guys who are grasping at straws and trying to figure out how to keep their IKS setups from freezing every 10 seconds. Someone once said that "The future of testing will be IKS" and now I know they were onto something. If you hear bullshit rumors of a possible fix being released by an FTA brand.. you can automatically call bullshit if it hasnt been tested on a Triple Dragon, Dreambox, or PC Emulator card first. "Unless!" It gets leaked straight to an FTA coder by a disgruntled plastic hacker, or someone who trusts the other person enough to make a deal. FTA manufacturers are no longer making money off of sales so they no longer have the money to pay for any research. It's all being done in house now with limited resources.

Viewsat has laid off more than half of their employees and is now looking to IKS for the foreseeable future. Yes, you heard me right.. IKS. Regardless of what ftahq says... it's reality. I challenge anyone else to come in here and tell me otherwise. (I'm waiting...) Sonicview is in the IKS game but their Ihub really sucks right now and you cannot watch a descent program without having to toggle channels back and forth every time it freezes. That may have something to do with Microsoft's new Host Tracker software.. allowing chuck to play games.. or it could be simply that the people running the servers don't know what the hell they're doing. Nfusion seems to be running smooth but they don't have the big fights like Sonicview does. For now... you should either subscribe.. or attempt to embrace IKS while we wait for the information for a "True Standalone" fix to be leaked. You all saw the pictures of the rumored VS receiver with an ethernet port.. that was a real pic.

The bullshit release date we all had hopes for was nothing more than a ploy to sell receivers. I didnt find out till the very same day it was supposed to be released that it was in fact bullshit. The reason for that was I am thinking I cannot really trust my sources anymore either due to the fact that they know I speak the truth and people respect me for that, so they want to feed me bullshit to pass it on to you, so you accept it as truth.. thats why it takes me a bit longer now to separate fact from fiction.

Like Ive said before.. the game is not over and N3 is not as secure as the providers had hoped so we will continue to be here and provide you with "truthful" information even if it means scaring some of you away. If this site fails due to lack of donations and we have to close the doors, at least we will know we went out with respect!
Thanks leg Ph.D

With the Vantage you could get the cbs and fox HD at 77w that are in the clear, and the other feeds that are in HD on true fta sats.

Might be able to get a good deal on HD receivers that people bought for DN , theres a pansat 9200 w/ hack 8psk board on ebay for 170.00 - auction ends at 5:30 pm est

I found some football feed, looks like college, that hasn't started yet.

Never mind it was a fox sports news feed not a game. It went off the air right after the newscaster said what he had to say.

If you has a blindscan on your receiver, do it with LNB Standard LNB, Freq: 10750!

If not only add this Tp 12157, Vertical, SR:30000, FEC:auto PID: v257 a258 p257, this will appear like user channel, you can rename it later.

History and Bio come in encrypted, clear with strereo sound then AC3 sound which give no sound if you does not have a AC3 decoder which is not include in most receiver, you can use the Optic output to make that it work.
