Subscription plus Kbox

Can you please tell me if I have a basic subscription to DN, can I still buy and use KBox with the dish that DN has installed at my place? I was trying to decide between these two.. but then there are some postings regarding other standalone receivers that do not require Internet connection. That is holding me back to buy a receiver right now. As I have subscription for now, I guess I will wait for some time (one month at most) and then buy either nfusion or kbox if no progress is made on the standalone front. Moreover, I can do more research on these boxes in this one month -J
