Hello

I just threw away my VS in recycle bin and am ready to move on something else. I know there's a lot posts on Nfusion here and most of them are too advanced for me. I just have some basic questions, so can someone please provide me infos regarding Nfusion solaris?

1) is this good receiver for BEV? how about globecast?
2) does the connection require special IP, username and password like IKS on DVB?
3) What is the best website for Nfusion supports and channel list?
Thanks

Thanks guys.

NFusion is not able to drive a Motorized dish because its power supply have only 400 mA and Usals doesn't work fine but if the dish is pointed on the satellite, it work fine.

Chumley aka justforhaha's aka LK has had difficulty in understanding the power supply limitations imposed by the power supply in a FTA receiver which is often less than the power supply of DN receivers. She had the same difficulty when I tried to explain to her 2-3 years ago, the limitations imposed by the power supply demand of Dish LNBs with DP34.
Some people's minds are fossilised in the circumstances of 2004 and will never change and this particular person is a living but half dead example of insane stubbornness.

"FTA receivers do not have enough power to power Dish LNBs AND a DP34"

That's what I said and you disagreed to an extent that you tried to ridicule me out of this forum.

"NFusion is not able to drive a Motorized dish because its power supply have only 400 mA and Usals doesn't work fine but if the dish is pointed on the satellite, it work fine."

That's waht Plymouth said.

Chumley aka LK: Did you try? Or were you trying to ridicule Plymouth because his posts initially appeared contradictory?

I do not want to start a bashing thing .. would like to keep it "TECH" only ..

from what i have learned ..
1) nfusion does run motorized dish
2) motorized dish using single NON DP Plus LNB is not problem
3) DP Plus LNB's have the 500ma+ threshold
4) DP 44 with power inserter solves the DPP LNB internal switch power issue

Quite simply, Plymouth said that you can get a Dish on Nfusion if you are pointing to it, but you cannot get it to it using the motor of a motorised dish. I did not see any ambiguity in it.
Sump: The issue of inadequacy of power supply in DP34s and therefore need to use DP44 or a power insertion was suggested by me 2-3 years ago and this person, Chumley at that time posting as the great genius LK and some of her cronies pounced upon me as if it was heresy.

I guess here is my confusion .. It is in the term Dp 34 now i could be CORNfused about that term , I thought that that was a switch not an LNB ?

I have 2 HH-90 and it seems that the new SG-1200 doesn't have this problem.

With the NFusion Solaris I must choose a Horizontal channel to make that it work, note I have same problem with the CW 600P.

Sump: Now I have to say - where in your stupid head did you see that i said DP34 was a LNB?
You were similarly confused in discussions about routers, and
I NOTE THAT PEOPLE AT DSSROOKIE HAVE ALSO NOTED SERIOUS INCONSISTENCIES IN YOUR STATEMENTS.

I know what i know and post about it. I don't post about things I do not know about, if at all I would qualify it with "I suspect" or "I am told"

So Keep your CCNP to yourself. This is a NOT a CISCO forum. Beleive me, when I say that I can give you an eyefull of stuff on Unified communications, routers, etc, but I always remember that this is a satellite forum.
So don't cross swords with me and reduce your pimping for kboxsales.

"SG2100 self-powered satellite motor"

I wonder what "self-powered" means.

My understanding is and Plymouth may correct me if I am wrong, that sg2100 and similar motors have a maximum power draw of 350mA and therefore may be used with many FTAs, whereas some of the other motors with a heavier power dwaw would fail.

I will buy a new motor as soon as possible because I experiment many problem with those HH-90 which I think is not available now, The Viewsat Ultra work fine to drive the HH-90 with a line amplifier.

As usual the bashers come perturbate a thread for any reason.

The SG-1200 is powered by the receiver but is slower to tracked the satellites and is able to track more degrees than a HH-90 which can help me to get Europeen satellite.

Viewsat Ultra: 500 ma
NFusion Solaris: 400 ma
Captiveworks 600P: Not Available

Chumley aka justforhaha's aka LK:

YOU are the biggest idiot of this forum.

I was talking about World Cup football, something you and a lot of people have interest in and YOU have been posting threads about football events.
NFL Football Line
https://www.ecoustics.com/electronics/forum/home-video/593631.html

YOU, IDIOT, are responsible for countless posts about Sentanta Sports channel.

I find a news item which says clearly that this paritcular FOOTBALL EVENT will not be televised and will be available on line only. You have weird sense of responsibility or concern for news relating to football when you start mocking me for that post.

YOU DO NOT DESERVE TO BE ON THIS FORUM.

Nalin you point LK each times that Chumley or any others come bashed a members, I can tell that LK is for nothing but LK friends and LK ennemy come bashed here.
On the other side Gregraf is on you and I know it's not very funny!

I know that you and Gregraf are not friends but to keep it fairplay for both you, I will never ban you or Gregraf for this reason.

LK is everytimes a good reason for many members to keep the war between them.

Both try to keep peace between you, but I admit that sometimes it make me laught and it give a special shape to Ecoustics where you can found it on others sites.

So it's very difficult to mod in this condition.

Maybe solaris nfusion will run a motor.

Pat

Yes the Solaris can run a motor but the Viewsat is much better for it and Free to Air with many settings like motor positioning on live channel.
Many time the Solaris lose the satellite then return to reference point.

With a long cable, a signal Booster and a motor, you will lose few volts need to turn the dish.

But like I says on post above this problem is not on SG-1200

Hi guys,

No hope for a VS fix so I'm considering the Solaris but I need some feedback.

1) What channels don't work ? Are all pay-per-views blocked ? What about Bell VOD ?
2) Downtime/ECM ? How often and how quickly does it comes back ?
3) Cheapest price for wirelles kit (hopefully less than $89.99).

I have both Bell & DN dishes on my roof. Tx.
