Hi everyone!
I uploaded the inital boot files on my nfusion solaris box from my desktop with the RS-232c cable. Now I no longer have the desktop, so I am trying to load the channel list from my laptop (thank you Plymouth for the advice!).
I got a cross-over cable but it still won't work witht he 131 loader. I am not sure the laptop and the box see each other. Does anyone know how to do it? Thanks in advance!

If it is not the first that you load a file on you receiver, you can use your browser to access to your router then your receiver.

In your browser write 192.168.1.?

? is the number of the port that you hook your receiver.

I recommend that you hook on port 1 to give first internet access to your receiver.
19.168.1.1

The pass word is the pass word of your router.

Now you have choice to download your channel list or upload.

Hi Plymouth, thanks for the response again!
So, I can log in to my router and see that the box uses ip 192.168.0.106 (I use D-link), I gues I can change that from the Menu if needed.
But when I type the box's ip into the browser, it doesn't open anything for me. :-(

I no longer have the desktop and none of the three (!) laptops I have has the right socket. I know, I could buy an adapter but I don't have it now.

"you can look right on your solaris and see what the IP address is too"
Yeah, but knowing it obviously doesn't sove my problem. Maybe there are some setting in the router menu that I shoul play around with?

Sorry I miss yor last post!

With a D-Link with your receiver in port 1, your
ip must be 192.1168.1.1

When you write this IP, you must see a window ask you the user name and pass word.

AWESOME!!! Plymouth, you are great!!!!
I feel kind of stupid asking such simple questions but:
What to I do now? Do I still need to use the loader? Do I have to connect cross-over cable?
Once again, thanx so much for your help!!!

If you are able to connect via your router you don't need anymore your null cable.

great! But the uploader (131) still doesn't see the receiver. I probably have to specify somehow that I am not connected through a COM port but I don't see that option anywhere.

bad mouth my friend. He keeps the Midget in line.

A man walks up to a woman in his office and tells her that her hair smells nice. The woman immediately goes into her supervisor's office and tells him that she wants to file a sexiual harassment suit and explains why. The supervisor is puzzled by this time and says, "What's wrong with the coworker telling you your hair smells nice?" The woman replies, "He's a midget."
