Ok so it's been 2 months as of the 24th of August.
this is not the first nor will it be the last time your unit will go down.
Remember for ever force the is and equal reaction, this is a constant game tester play.

Don't listen to the rumor mills that :
there will be a fix on so and so date
there will never be a fix
my friends uncles brother said!
etc.
Sit back let your unit have a vacation until things are worked out, and yes they will!
We were down for several months before!
For those who remember N1, changed to N2 and we went down.
Map 57 and we went down.
We will Be up again, "When" is any ones guess but it will happen.
Either some one will get greedy and sell the secret, or it will be cracked by coders, either way it will happen just a matter of time!
If you have no tv now I suggest you either use OTA if you are in or near a bigger city or sub for now.
Think of all the $ you saved, now it's time to spend some in return.
In closing:
Just relax and wait don't fall for the first rumor that comes around or the site that wants to sell you a fix, when a fix comes out it will be "FREE" and all over all fta sites!

it is true there was the 2 month blackout summer ...
but then Nfusion Nova was born .. for the next couple years can count on one hand down time due to IKS, while others struggles with bin this and bin that blah blah blah, Nova users sat back and used the remote proactively to download and did not miss a beat !!
sooo ..
technology changed and IKS was born ..
if you think it is going to revert back i have a SLIDE RULER for you, yes they work but the art has long since past.
if you do not have IKS solution you will be as my parent used to say ...
" your SOL " ( sh!t out of luck )

Sump I disagree with you with all respect , but as I have stated before in is is my opinion and that of many true tester in FTA that IKS is NOT safe, and people need to read and understand what they are getting into when using IKS.
I am sure something will come into play in the near future, there is too much money to be made for the manufacturers not to find a cure (through coders or Greed).

i agree with you on the latter that's for sure ..greed

take this example in our discussion about IP ..
microsoft , lots of people copied 98 and shared it .. you had to go to their site to get the updates so they had the IP's
then XP same sorta thing, thier server in US logs ip's ???

IF a standalone fix comes out, I don't think they will work for long on the present stb's. Not enough horse power.

The new receivers must be able to get MPEG4 H264 to get many Dn channels, so all the new receiver must be HD.

I can't see that, Plymouth there are many thousands of people who do not have HD sets yet! some do not wish to have them, some can't afford them!

But I guess in the long run that is true!

the days of good OTA free tv are gone forever!

I talk for the new MPEG4 SD channels provide by Dn, IPTV and cable, but any MPEG4 receiver give only SD channels, that's why I talk about HD receiver.
