I have a ViewSonic 8000 HD. This unit has given me nothing but trouble. Things like double channel down loads and many other things. I'm looking to dump it and purchase something else. Can any one give me a recommendation on a HD unit?

Thanks,

Your only choice is NFusion Nuvenio with 8psk board, KBox doesn't have a HD.

Now if you reload the factory bin on your SV 8000 HD and rescan in order your satellites, this one will work fine.

Mike:

Easier yet, before rescanning, delete existing channels for that satellite and you won't have double channels.

All Viewsat receivers exhibit this behaviour. You just have to live with it.

How good is kbox on HDTV. I understand it cannot give HD channels, but how about standard channels on HDTV through kbox? does HD receiver makes a difference on standard (non-hd) channels? I also want to get rid of Sonicview HD, but have no other choice.

I have done a factory reset with same results. Is there something else I should do?

Mike a factory reset won't empty the list. You have to go into menus and delete them manually.
