TVEA1 - No signal on Hispasat 1C/1D

They added new MPEG-4 channels for all of their channels on transponder 12052 but the old DVB signals are still there. No change. You only require a bin, any bin to make it work. They are still using Nagra 1 I am watching them right now. Cuba added a channel on 11884 called Contricion with a video test pattern and audio dual tone on it. |

It will unlock TVE except the newer MPEG-4 channels. Those will replace all of older TVE channels in 2010 when TVE switches to High Definition. If you have a MPEG-4 receiver I guess you can receive them because they are all on the air now. I don't have an MPEG4 box myself. Anyone has one and tested the new High Def TVE channels ? |

I used to let roll that station continously. Perfect to learn Spanish. I loved their format. Half hour news and half an hour of all sorts of things. I went on the TVE site and that station is still shown as available on Hispasat. Does anyone know what's going on ? You got no answers on the Hispano thread I notice ! |

For Halifax, an 8 feet antenna would be fine. But no less. There is still tons of FTA left on Hispasat. Including Cuba (4 channels), Columbia (4 channels), Uruguay, the Canarias (Tenerife), the Asturias (Oviedo), Cataluna (Barcelona) and Vasco (Bilbao). Those will never move to the new Sidsa KeyFly encryption. |
