where do you live Sandy ? You may never be able to get it. Depends.If you are looking for internationals, Try 118.7 with 33" dish and linear lnb. dn is already started moving international from 148.
Sandy: The Sat at 148W is intended for the West coast people. With a large dish from the 15th floor of an apartment building in Toronto (6 degrees above horizon) you might be just lucky. However, the few Indo-Pakistani channels still on Nagravision 2 are likely to be defunct very shortly. Your time is yours to spend, but one would not recommend spending money to try and get 148W.
Please note the elevation - it is just 2.2 degrees from the horizon. A minimum of 100cm (40") Dish is required. Is it worth the effort. There are about 5-6 Indo-Pakistani channels available and that too by manual entry of values. This means that these could go any day. pat experience tells me that this kind of thing is a temporary parking point for a channel.
