According to my resources
D#N is about to offer new IPTV service
That's a receiver without dish
Using high speed public internet

http://www.echostarviptv.com/content/programming/lineup/index.shtml

I think we need a forum section on IPTV by itself
Please forward yor comments/suggestions if yo need to learn more about this topic

This looks like it's only for headends/commericial customers that re-distribute, not end users.

"hi king can u give us more info about it"
I don't think this service available yet
But I guess it would be same price as their Satellite current rates
When I saw this VIPTV by Echo-star at the SatCon trade show in NY last October
I was told this is available exclusively to Hotels at some time in the future
It was a small muck up set top box
About same size of VHS tape with a remote control
Very impressive
MPEG-4
Much slower channel change than satellite receivers
I was also told
Hotels can use AMC 16 at 85.0°W with a 1.2 Meter dish instead of internet

What surprised me
It is by Echo-Star
Not by Dish Net
Don't ask me why

As far as I know
When this IPTV becomes available
Yo can take it anywhere around the globe
Where there is internet yo can watch its channels
Very portable

Also
I heard that many after market underground selling IPTV with small computers with hundreds of channels
But I'm not sure who and how

Sada; I have to study the whole subject for 2-3 hours. If and when I get round to it, I will post.
At a glance, it seems t be a promotion for a device that will get you some kind of service from a n anonymous server.

From electronics prospective
I always say Security providers can make it difficult on coders
Hackers on the other hand always find easiest target to break thru

In another word
PTA can change completely
I think all current FTA receivers won't work on the next type of PTA
Hardware will have to be changed
I'm totally impressed by Nfusion
I give them total creadit for providing a hybrid PTA receiver
One that works like a normal FTA
Second as Rom Card Sub/share via IKS

Therefore
I strongly belive the next type of PTA maybe Card sub/share just like link yo provided

Hackers will have no choice but to come up something else and quick
Or they gonna be out of the game

This is how they do it in Europe now
