Once the transition is successful, other channels will quickly migrate to Nagravision 3. Cahrlie Egren, the founder of Echostar stated in a conference call in December 2008 that he expected N3 to be active on International and HD programming within the first quarter of 2009, but did not expect a complete switchover to Nagravision 3 on all Dish Network channels until the end of the third quarter in 2009.
