My apologies :D
I ran a binary comparison on freezing fixed file and file released this morning for VSX..
There were no differences found and the files were identical..
So naturally I assumed they had not updated them..
And I know VS always renames their files if there are modifications..
Sorry about that..must test to confirm..
My apologies..

Hmm..
Seems the same..I do not understand..
I think the 'ALL NEW FILES: Freezing FIXED' note is referring to the follow up SV files released to fix the freezing with SV..
VS files seem the same to me..not updated from this morning..
Sorry if I am wrong..

Hmmm..well sorry is all I can say..
I ran another binary comparison of the Ultra file at Total right now against the Ultra file posted at FTAView at 953am today..
Results are identical..
0 byte(s) diff
1718082 byte(s) match
1718082 byte(s) total

I guess I just do not know as much about files as I thought :P
Sorry again..

c/p from total

Latest News: Dec 22 2007 4:45pm EST
VIEWSAT FILES RELEASED!
*Minor freezing reported*
ALL NEW FILES: Freezing FIXED
Viewsat Extreme / Viewsat Platinum
Viewsat Ultra / Viewsat 9000 HD
Viewsat PVR 7000 / Viewsat Pro

that is contradicting to say the least. Can anyone say this bin is working with 100% no freezing on BEV?

Reload the latest bin file, do not power off the unit.

For problem with:

Display seems to oscillated.
autoroll on few channels.
Slow changind channels.
EPG Guide slow.

Power off the unit can result with:

Lost of all channels ""NO CH"".
Dead Box (load the factory bin with Null cable).
Box blend(error data in memory)

If you doesn't have those problem you can reload the latest bin for speed up your box, that's not affect nothing and you will be sure to keep your receiver in good shape.

It seems to be the data who does not be cleared in the memory and the receiver over working for nothing.

It will work on all Viewsat receivers.

Info from Plymouth and not C/P.
Enjoy

Pat check your LNB Type and try DP LNB if you use a dish 500, if not use standard.

The problem can be the cable because the PPV are on Horizontal polarity and if you lose voltage, you will not get those channels.
