I am interested in getting a DVD changer with 300 or more disc capacity. The 3 that seem best from my searching are the Pioneer DV-F727 and Sony's DVP-CX985V and DVP CX875P. With 3 small kids at home, I'm hoping this will keep the discs organized and fingerprint (or worse) free. Does anyone have any thoughts on these or other changers, or changers in general?

I have the Pioneer Elite version of the F727, the Elite F07. They are basically the same thing, but the Elite has slightly upgraded DACs and an RS-232 port for system controllers. Short answer, get the CX985V. The F727\07 are 4 years old now, and Pioneer has done absolute nothing. I'm really annoyed about that, I've always prefered Pioneer to Sony, but Pioneer hasnt made a new megachanger in 4 years. The 727 is SORELY outdated, but for some reason Pioneer doesnt seem to care. The Sony will do mp3 CD, multichannel SACD, Progressive scan, etc. The Pioneer has none of it.
I love having the megachanger, it's great throwing all those cases in a closet, and being able to bring up any disc with the touch of a button, and in my experience there is absolute no performance hit over single disc drawer players. (You'd have to get into SERIOUS high-end DVD to noticably beat them). I think I will be replacing my F07 for Sony's new CX777ES (Sony ES version of the CX985). It wont do DVD-A of course, but Pioneer seems to have given up on the Megachanger market, so there's pretty much no hope of a mega DVD-A changer at this point.
