ZEE Gujarati to close down in India Jan 22, 2009 06:06 PM| Read / Post comments ZEE Network has today announced the closure of ZEE Gujarati in India.
ZEE News Ltd CEO Barun Das said: "We are shutting down ZEE Gujarati as it was making losses. The revenue from that market is also too small as the local viewers have a very high consumption of Hindi entertainment."
It is yet unclear what the future holds for ZEE Gujarati in the UK.
ZEE Gujarati, which is available on Sky Digital channel 811, launched in the UK in March 2005.
